CAA STUDENT CARE

Thank you for your interest in Before and After School Care at Calgary Arts Academy.

Calgary Arts Academy Student Care is, through the support and co-operation of Calgary Arts Academy administration and charter board, located on site at the Elementary Campus.  Our mandate is to meet the needs of Calgary Arts Academy families by providing quality care and engaging activities for students attending Kindergarten through to Year 6 both before and after school as well as on non-instructional days when there are Professional Days, Student Led Conferences and most school breaks.  Hours of operation are tailored to those of our host school with Student Care opening at 7:00 a.m. and closing at 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Calgary Arts Academy Student Care is licensed by Alberta Human Services / Calgary and Area Child and Family Services Regional Authority and accredited through Alberta Accreditation of Early Learning and Care Services.

The Ministry of Children’s Services provides financial assistance to eligible lower-income families using licensed out-of-school care centres. For more information, please visit www.child.gov.ab.ca/childcaresubsidy.

Parent input is welcome, and encouraged, toward developing and delivering a quality School Age Care program which will both meet your needs and achieve your expectations of excellence.  All families will have an opportunity to observe the Student Care program during their Calgary Arts Academy tour.  Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time with your questions or for registration information. It is both an honour and a privilege to work with all Calgary Arts Academy stakeholders toward our mutual goal of positive student growth and development.

Full time Student Care is available to students in Kindergarten to Year 6 at the Elementary School Campus Knob Hill. A shuttle bus is available to transport Year 4 to 6 students between the Middle School Campus Rosscarrock and the Elementary School Campus Knob Hill. We also offer a summer camp throughout the summer.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.  A waitlist is kept when Student Care has reached maximum capacity, with spots offered as space becomes available.  We recommend contacting us after you have applied at Calgary Arts Academy to get your child's name on our interest list for the 2024/2025 school year.

Registration for the following school year opens every year in May. From September to April, we keep a list of families interested in registering. For more information, please contact CAA Student Care at 403-229-3010 ext. 3 or caa@studentcarecalgary.com
